I posted this on another site and didn't get any replies so I'll try here

I don't have puddle lights in my x3.Can anyone tell me if the wiring is there and can I just cut out the plastic holder to install them?

The plastic holder should be able to taken out without cutting...then just look around inside with a flashlight and see if the wires are there.

But looking at realoem, it appears there is only one wiring harness for the doors, so the wiring for the puddle light is probably there.

I can take the plastic holder out without cutting but it doesn't look like there is a push out for the lights to fit in.
