B47 Engines in LCI X3?

Hi All,

I have been browsing used X3 2.0d LCIs on BMW UK and have noticed that the specification given for most of them (including 65 reg), show N47 performance figures.

I have inquired about a specific '15' reg car where the engine spec looks like it is N47 and the dealer has not been able to answer my question as yet.

All of you with LCI 2.0d cars, do you know if yours has the new B47 engine?

Of course, it could just be a mistake on the used car details!?

The BMW auc webshite shows them all as 184bhp with performance and economy figures

However the LCI models ALL have the new engines

You'd think by now Bmw would have updated the webshite

( misspelling intentional )

Ian if it has the new headlights in the pics on the AUC site then it has the new engine

Easy to see

Or

Alternately it the reg through "my car check" and it will give you details

For the Australian market the LCI 20d is the B47 engine and is reflected in the BMW Australia website. Certainly would assume this also applies for the UK market. To the best of my knowledge the US market still has the old N47 engine in their 28d.

Andy, it is looking as though BMW have not updated their 'technical specification' for cars being sold second hand. It is odd that the sales guy couldn't answer my question!
Thank you for the clarification.

Brissim, the details shown on the BMW UK web site suggest the new engine, but second hand cars have the old specification attached! I guess no one at BMW UK has spotted it!

Never ever trust the figures shown on the AUC site. They are almost always incorrect! I have noticed it many times on many different BMW models.
