What is the percentage in the back windows? I was told the factory tint is 20% so I put on 20% for the 2 front windows however, I think the 2 front windows looks a little darker at an angle. It is not hugely noticeable but you know since I am the owner and picky, I notice it.... I think the 35% is too light? What do I do??

back is roughly 50% according to my tint installer.

When we tinted ours we did 30% front, 40% overlayed on the rears. Came out great.

Mine can't be 50%. This factory tint seems much lighter to me than my previous car. You can really see through it and I have black exterior. I don't want to make it too dark. I am thinking of going back to the place to either have them remove the 20 and put on 30 or 35 OR just put on additional tint but I don't know if that is going to match!!

BMW roughly puts 15% (without the Privacy Glass Option) and when i tinted my 640i GC i tinted it for an additional 10% (if I would've tinted it more I would've needed a Permit from the Traffic Department and I didn't feel like waiting in line for the permit lol) and my windows seem great, not too light not too dark...

The factory tint is a special one (at least for swiss models): the stronger the sun is, the darker the windows get. That could make it difficult to find a matching tint for the front. Therefore I would choose a weaker tint in front.... That way they'll never be darker than the rear.

factory tint is 35% in US X3s. We have 35% on the fronts and it matches exactly.

Well, here is how my X3 looked right after the tint job. The third pic was as stock (rear privacy glass only)

Chrissy, yes agree can see through 50% like it was nothing. Even at 30% I can still see through but that's exactly what I wanted.

Hmmm skipped the factory tint and got me some 3M at 56% that's rocking on my X4
