Had to have it recoded today after dealership replaced idrive system,...and wiped out the coding! Reinstalled many of the same features....digital speedometer, eco-off default, rear hatch close and mirror/window activation with key fob, tire pressure/temp monitoring, etc. Shout out to DC Metro Coding in MD.

I wish I had that tire pressure feature, and the temperature could be useful to identify a sticking brake caliper. I can't understand why BMW chooses not to enable these features in the US.

Pic of digital speedometer. Not that big of a deal...although it is easier to see.
I agree that it is odd that BMW doesn't enable these features. The tire pressure readout is really nice. Some day, BMW may even choose to integrate it with an App so you can display the digital tire pressure on your IPhone when adding air (especially in the winter, when tire pressure fluctuates with wider range of temperature).

I also want to see tire pressures and especially temperatures. A tire temperature trending higher than the rest is a good indicator, I would think, of a latent tire problem. Last November, when we experienced the first really cold temperatures of the season, I received a warning from the TPI system. Although I was sure the warning was due to slightly low pressure resulting from the very low temperatures, I was forced to check the pressure in all four tires in some very unpleasant crappy weather. It would have been very nice to see the actual pressures so I could deal with the problem under more favorable conditions.
For this reason alone I am going to get what I need to code my car unless I find someone experienced in central NY to do it for me. I will also enable the digital speed display but that is just a nice to have feature. I do not have any interest in any of the other codable parameters unless I can extend the time the time (now exactly 10 minutes) the rear window defogger stays on. |

Interesting. I had my 2013 F25 coded to show tire pressures/temps (which I loved and used quite a bit) and then my dealer did a "software update" and I had to recode the vehicle, and the pressure/temp code didn't work with the update. Anyone know how to get it back on the latest software revision? Is it a different code?
