Question Question: Performance control Vs. Dynamic Performance Control

The 2VG Performance Control in the X3 seems to be different from the X6's Dynamic Performance Control. The X3's explanation is actually the one used for the DSC on the X6 (power modulation and individual wheel braking as necessary to reorient the thrust vector in the direction where the front wheels are pointing).

The X6's Dynamic Performance Control is explained as variable power distribution in the rear wheels to exert an additional degree of control over the car's direction; it is described as more effective in all conditions including snow, sand etc.

Can any of the new X3 owners (congratulations!!!) tell me if this is in fact the case, or maybe the manual explains Performance Control differently? I still have no access to the complete documentation and my CA has not yet participated in the new training. Thanks in advance.
