That's not it. I have never reset my trip info (it matches the exact amount of miles driven on the vehicle still) and I also have a "1" displayed on the dash. It too just showed up one day. I thought it might have something to do with my calender on the I-phone as a reminder I have something going on that day?

I have the "1" and do not have Apps. But I have reset the trip computer twice, so I don't think it is that.

I have the "1" and no BMW apps (6NR). I do have an iPhone 4 though that has recently been updated and I do have a calendar entry for today........

I have the "1" symbol and no bmw apps. It also shows all the other symbols sfax mentioned (fuel symbol for remaining distance left, and speedo symbol for average speed)
