I hope someone can help, I tried scrolling and searching around the forum but I can't really find the problem I have. Please do link if you know of one

I have a X3 Xdrive20d aut from 2011.

Recently it's had some shaking/vibration when accelerating.
I experience the shaking in 3rd and 4th gear, and only when accelerating at around 1500-1800 rpm, then it stops. No shaking what so ever in any other gear or rpm. Shaking also stops if I let go or accelerate harder.
I can't reproduce the shaking when the car is cold, it will accelerate within those gears and rpm like nothing when cold, but after 20 mins of driving when it heats up at bit, it will start.

I had recent tire change and I was told my control arm/ball joint on the left side needed changing (i'm not sure if these are the correct terms in english).
But to my logic this shouldnt be the problem, as I should experience a shaking problem at other speeds as well, right.

Gear shifts are great and I have no other problems what so ever.

Please let me know if I need to elaborate on something.

I had this issue and it was solved by adding Shudderfix to my transmission. Works amazingly good... Tranny has been good for 10k+miles now.
