Base Support System for roof

I just ordered 82712338614 which is the base support system for the 2011 X3 and up. Is anybody using that and could tell me the width of the bars?

I'd like to find out if I can reuse my Thule kayak carriers.

I just got an answer on amazon: " the width of the bar itself, it's about 2 1/4 in. (front to back), 1 5/16 thick (top to bottom). They are bigger than typical non-BMW bars. The assembly overall is around 42 in."
