OE brake pad/disc manufacturer ?
Pads and also discs are getting ready for replacing on our 2016 35D. Not paying the ridiculous price BMW quoted me a few weeks back when it went in for a service, which was over £1000. Anyone know who the OE disc/pad manufacturer is ? More than happy with the brakes so will stick with what's on. I assume it'll be ATE discs and Textar or Jurid pads ?
Any help much appreciated Andy |

I typically run Genuine BMW pads and use Zimmerman rotors on my X3. In the past on my older sedans I've used Jurid or Pagid pads, Balo or Brembo rotors…these were equivalent to OEM BMW parts.
Brands you've listed will give you OEM bite/performance. (I'm in the States, I buy from FCP Euro…lifetime warranty is nice, applicable to wear items such as pads and rotors as well, thus I use BMW branded pads) |

Textar lists BMW as their OEM customer. I recently changed disks/pads on my 2016 35i, works fine, but a lot more dust compared to OEM set.
Haven't seen this much dust since my BMW sedan days with sport/msport packages. |

UK F25 35d here. IMO no reason to buy from BMW when there are many OE+ quality replacements available for much less. I bought ebc discs + yellow stuff pads for the front for £220 via ebcdirect website . That chrome addon called "honey" saved me about £90. Might skip the yellow stuff pads in future, the bedding process is a joke and is even worse with new discs.
Bought Brembo rear pads and discs today for £125 from GSF car parts. £50 cheaper than Euro Car parts. |

I serviced my rear pads last year for a 2012 US market X3 35ix. I used OE Jurid pads. Verified the same brand as the likely originals coming off. For rotors I went with ATE coated. They still look good a year later.

I bought some rotinger graphite line ones of the bay as well as ebc green stuff. Very happy with the disks but the green stuff pads prefer to be warm to be 100%
