Gracenote updates
Hi guys

Your post is not super-clear, like what does "obviously not connected" mean? Anyway, the sat nav update only does maps and points of interest - like gas stations and restaurants. Nothing else changes. I assume UK maps are available the same as US maps. You can download them to a thumb drive or get a pre-loaded thumb drive mailed to you. Then you plug in the thumb drive and follow the instructions and it takes about 30 minutes to transfer to your hard drive. In addition to the map files you will get an activation code. In addition to maps you can update other software. BMW makes them available online. They are mostly things like Bluetooth upgrades, so they are not much.
