BMW F25 LCI 6WB Retrofitted!

Since there are only a few resources online to put 6WB on F25, I made a short clip to present how the 6WB works on F25 X3 LCI. The coding part was kind of tough but generally solved all the problems and everything working properly.

Model: 2015 BMW F25 X3 20d xDrive (yeah... diesel)
Spec: JPN (RHD)
NBT Language: Japanese
Kombi Language: Traditional Chinese

Here is the footage how to install the 6WB on my F25.

Thank you~!

Total cost is around $1500 USD, and yes the vehicle comes with navi system.

What I meant does this only work if you have professional Navi with updated instrument cluster,?

Nice job dude.

My F25 20d (B47D20) xDrive doesn't have Sat Nav Pro fitted, so I don't even have EfficientDynamics gauge under RPM (it's a traditional pointer...).

Just wonder in this case if it is possible to fit the same stuff in? looks too cool to refuse...

BTW: Can you have a look at my post http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=864712

I am also concerned about the Sport+ mode (missing). Can it be enabled by ECU tuning?

6WB work with the small screen head unit. It doesn't need the NBT or CIC with navi for retrofitting the cluster! Hopefully this can answer your question!

P.S. For vehicles don't come with factory navi or HUD, you may not have fiber-optic (MOST) built in the car. In this case you need to get extra MOST cable to install in between Kombi and Head Unit to make the 6WB Kombi work!

Quick question how did you code it to the car? I don't think F25 have factory 6WB option.

I did it. I used it BMW X5 F15 FA (changing the donor FA to my car VIN).
You load the FA adding 6WB (using F15 FA). Very important do not write FA to car.
Then you inject CADF file and finally VO code the DKOMBI.

Then FDL toDKOMBI: 1) choose tank capacity 66 liter (value available in F15). 2) search key word "F15" and change it by "F25" for all cases.
Also using FDL You can change logo to appear BMW instead of F15.
the good thing of using F15 FA is that you will see a F15 car when you have door open warning.
hope it helps.

6WB

Do you know if 6WB cluster from F01/F07/F12 will work on F15? I heard that there is different, someone says its the same, and it is possible to make it works.

how do you get the correct miles shown for your vehicle? would hate to install one and then it show either more miles or some tamper indication that will be problem when going to sell when moving on to another vehicle.

Hi,

I'm considering having a 6WB retrofitted to my 2016 F26 X4.

Can you recall if there was a car logo for the F26 X4 or F16 X6 car logo you can select?

Do you know if your X3 can be programmed by BMW due to non standard 6WB installed or does the original KOMBI have to be installed?

Cheerz
