Production Video outside the US?

Hi guys.

Only a few weeks left until my X3 hits production, and I've seen some production videos of the new X3's of some of the forum members. All Americans I presume...

Or is it a way for us Europeans to register somewhere to check if we can get our video? BMW in Norway doesn't know...

No chance I'm afraid. Been there. Tried registering on US site etc. No dice. Shame as it's a nice touch

I'm wondering if you could install an app called "hotspot shield" and spoof your location to the USA. I use hotspot shield so that I can use Hulu in Canada.

I don't know if the registration looks for a US IP or if the video is based on the VIN. Worth a try...

Here is a link to the app

That won't work I'm afraid. It's done on a VIN lookup not IP filtering. If it was IP why prompt for a VIN at all?

Sooo.
Does that mean there are no videos of a diesel engine being fitted into an X3?

Thats a pity.
I'd love a video of my car being built.
I wouldn't care less if they sent me a stock video of someone elses car that was the same spec and colour combination (they must have a large database by now), but it would be a shame if you see a 3 litre petrol or 2 litre turbo being hoisted up into the car body instead of the big 3 litre turbo diesel.

As no diesles are sold in the US market, that must mean there are no diesel videos?

... that may change in April... it looks like the 30d may be introduced along with the N20 based 28i.
