Export iDrive Display to iPad/Android Tablet?

Hello,

I've got a 2017 X3 F25 with 8.8 NBT EVO iDrive 5.
While thinking about how to increase display size it just crossed my mind, instead of looking for options to retrofit 10.25 displays and the hassle and cost etc., what if we can export the iDrive display to an external iPad/Android tab and just place the iPad/tablet in front of the iDrive display.
I know the resolution of iDrive display will not be the same nor the aspect ratio as tablet (that is fixable by coding to some extent I guess by increasing iDrive resolution), however we could probably use some other apps from tablet in split screen mode and the best part is, we can upgrade to any screen size to our choice.
At this stage I'm not worried about touch or gesture control, just exporting display would be a good start.
Now the question is, how to convert the BMW video signal to HDMI/VGA or something that iPad/Android tab can take as input.

Would appreciate any suggestions please.

It's not that simple my friend, I'm trying to export the display signal to tablet, not replacing the head unit.
Apparently, LVDS (6 pin) to HDMI/VGA conversation is the biggest challange.
Android tables can read HDMI/VGA inputs through USB OTG, should be fairly easy.
