We recently upgraded my wife's 15 X3 to a 17 X3.

Just recently noticed a new symbol near the top of the iDrive screen, it looks like a small folded map icon, with a progress circle on it and a number with a % sign. It looks like a download in progress and a progress counter, but she says the number has been jumping around 20% one morning, 84% later in the day, 64% this evening...

I've looked at the owners manual, there's no hint of that icon. I checked my online lease account and there are no manuals posted for the car, only thing I haven't flipped through yet is the onboard manual because I haven't been in the car long enough to play with it.

Some sort of automatic OTA map update maybe? We just got the car in Dec.
