Exhaust Note 35i

The exhaust note is fantastic. From 2300-5000 rpm, it gives you that fantastic note, the satisfyingly harmonious \"wooaoaoaoaoaoaoaoaoaoaoaaoaoaoaaoaoaoaoaoaoaoooo ooh.\"

Anyone done a golf-tee mod yet? I\'m looking for some more low end raw sound.

I actually did the golf tee mod recently on my x3. It was really easy to do but in my opinion it didn't make much of a difference. So, I undid it just for warranty reasons.

There is an exhaust valve/flap that opens up on the 35i exhaust when under heavy load, some folks stick a golf tee or BB in the actuator hose to keep the valve/flap open all the time. It gives your exhaust a more aggressive tone even when you are not "getting on it".

I'm impressed by it as well - sounds better than my 535 with the same engine. Sounds cool at startup as well.

Sorry, the 35D does not have the vacuum actuated Dual-path exhaust.

See Post No. 7 in this thread for more than you'll ever want to know about X3 exhaust systems.
