Perhaps you plasti-dip them to see if you like a black wheel?

I've got a set of 307s as winter wheels, they're currently in OEM silver but I'm planning on changing the colour after the winter

I'm not too keen on them in black

So I'm looking at something a bit lighter like a medium or dark anthracite

This is also the only pics I found on google images. I think I am considering more of a Matte black / flat black look. I am not going to change the tires or suspension so I think the tuff look vs. slick sporty look will fit this X3 better.

Plastidip is a spray/paint on rubberised paint - wouldn't last that long on wheels but it can be peeled off fairly easily without damage to the paint beneath so it would give you a way to see if you like the look of the wheels in black. If you try it, I'd say just do one wheel...

Thanks Perry!

If you check the latest Winter Wheel/Tire thread or my order thread, you'll see a few pics of my plasti-dipped winter set up.
