You have selected an incompatible Option in your FA and need to fix it.

Coding CAFD files:

CAFD files (ncd) contain the setting data/ parameters for each ECU. Modifying the values in these files change the behavior of ECUs.
Connect E-Sys to car and follow the steps to read CAFD file/s to be coded. (You may take help of cheat files to decide which ECU you would like to code and which are the associated CAFD files).
Expand the folder of the selected CAFD file. Right click on the CAFD file and click "Edit FDL". Enter the pin if asked.
Open the module you wanted to edit under “Daten”, click on the Functionen folder, then open the ausgelessen folder of the selected function. It will show the current settings.
Change them as per Cheat Sheet and Save.
To be on the safer side, edit only one ECU at a time.
After making all changes in the CAFD files of ECU as per the cheat sheet for that function, save and go back by pressing top extreme left green arrow "back" button.
Now you can see FA again. Right click on it and "Activate FA". You will see a green active text next to FA. Also FP will open on the right side.

Connection means nothing. You cannot use this old E-Sys and PSdZData with this new F10. You need to update both, and you will now need a Token solution.

I have just bought a new F15 X5 and would like to code it. Do I need to update my E-Sys / PSdZ?

I can connect to the car though get errors when trying to read coding data from many ECU's though some do read OK.

I have a patched token solution.

The PSdZData version used must be >= to the last version of ISTA/P used to program the car. If you use the latest PSdZData version, then you don't have to worry about it. Otherwise, you will need to read I-Step current from VCM, cross-reference it to the ISTA/P version, and determine if your PSdZData version is >= to it.

You wrote you have PSdZ Version 4.8.0; however, this is incorrect. The PSdZ Version displayed when you click on E-Sys => Help => About is simply the PSdZ library used in that version of E-Sys, not the PSdZData data files from ISTA/P (e.g. 53.0 PSdZData).

For F15 Coding:

• F15 uses F25 as Target Connection
• Use Read ECU instead of Read SVT.
• F15 has the new BDC (Body Domain Controller) "Super ECU", which is like FEM BODY on steroids. If you can't find a particular FDL Code, look in BDC.
• Make sure under E-Sys => Options => Settings => Program tab => Memory Requirement => RAM is set to 1024 or you will likely be unable to read BDC. Do NOT use anything larger than 1024, or E-Sys will be unable to Open, and you will have to reinstall it.
