Hi. There's one of these test drive events near me on August 10 at Savage BMW or August 11 at BMW of Riverside. I called Savage but they didn't know too much about the details. Is it true you get a $1000 coupon off your next BMW purchase for just attending?

I already have an X3 on order on July 7th. Will I be able to utilize the coupon if it indeed exists?

Yes, you do a certificate for $1,000 off your next BMW. I believe the drive event has to occur at the dealer you are buying off of in order for them to accept it.

Ask your dealer. I placed my order last Friday and registered/attended the Team USA event yesterday. I specifically asked my SA if it would be a problem that I placed my order prior to the event. He asked his Manager and said it's fine as long as I have the coupon prior to delivery. Although from reading other posts, some dealers do not let you apply the coupon if you already placed the order. My SA actually included the discount on the order form so I can be assured I will get the $1000 discount.

Sweet, I called the SA and she said I could use it! She also told me the vehicle is scheduled for production next week!

sounds like i'm the only one where the dealer wasnt so nice...i was tempted on dinging them on the BMW survey for not allowing me to do it, but decided against it since they were technically just applying the rules (they said they asked bmw usa if it was ok and they told them no....probably a mistake to ask bmw usa at all instead of just applying it)
