X3 broke down on Christmas Eve

This is by far the worst Xmas I had ever had in my life. I was driving my 2011 X3 and than the engine malfunction light came on. There was a BMW dealer on my way to the mall to do some last minute shopping. The service adviser told me the car is fine and it may have to do with a lose gas cap.

The service adviser told me that they are closing soon, come back on Thursday if it happen again.

5 miles away from the dealership, the car start to stalling and having acceleration issue. It can barely drive. Perhaps it went into the limp mode.

Since the car is not drivable, I got stuck at home on Xmas day. I called BMW roadside assistance and they were giving me a hard time in setting an early appointment. I asked them to set me up a rental due to trip interruption and they said i have to pay for it and reimburse later.

What a screw up Xmas thanks to BMW!
