Recirculating air button LCI model
Hi
Was wondering whenever I press the recirc button it shuts out the bad exterior air but after a while it open up without my prompting. In my previous bimmers never had this issue, anyone know of this? I don't use the other external filtered air option for never found it effective. LCI owners experiencing the same? |

So you don't have it on "A" auto recirculate but instead have the right function lit ,that is just circulation?
"A" will open whenever. Regular recirculation will stay closed . No lights is outside air.

Driving in recirc for a long period of time, means you are stuck with your own air - which is no good. There might be 10 % fresh air being let in.
Driving in rain with recirc, will get your windows foggy. During cooldown from high temtperatures, it is good to ventilate through side windows for a minute or so. After cooldown, you will - normally - get better air with "outside". |

Just looked the manual apparently with the new LCI climate control features you cannot permanently control the recirc button to stay closed. if temp, drops it will open up,by default to avoid condensation they say. I guess I am old school I prefer to do this myself or open a window later. I no longer can enjoy heat for a short period of time without external air coming in.for sometimes you are behind a diesel truck spewing some fumes. Wonder if this can be coded out for The auto recirculate seems to never work for me in any bimmers for the bad smell always gets in somehow.
