Wheel fit help needed
Hi all,
First post and first time BMW owner. I ran into a snag already and need some help. I have a 2012 X3 with stock 17” wheels on it. I picked up a set of 18” wheels from a 2019 X3 after doing my research. Turns out, my hubs are flush and the new wheels have a lip on them that reduces the bore at the exterior edge. If I try to route the lip off, will the interior bore match? Or am I better off trying to re-sell the 18”s? I’m handy enough to give it a shot but don’t want the ruin anything. Thanks in advance! |

The G chassis X3 has different wheel specs than the F chassis X3.
The G01 chassis X3 has a 66.6mm wheel hub and a 5x112mm wheel bolt pattern. The F25 chassis X3 has a 72.56mm wheel hub and a 5x120mm wheel bolt pattern. I recommend getting wheels with the correct specs…look for any of the wheels from the F chassis X3 generation if you want oe BMW wheels.
