For those who have had the SI B12 09 12 update to your X3

Has that software update changed how your sunroof operates? Ever since having it done, when I go to open my sunroof instead of the sunroof stopping at the comfort position it goes past that to the full open position. I have hit the close switch to bring it back to the comfort position. Dealer thought it might be a faulty switch or control module so they replaced those. Still does it. Now they think it might be related to the software update (SI B12 09 12) and that BMW may have it programmed that way. I don't think that the case at all. Can those of you who have had this update applied (for throttle delay) let me know if it has affected the way your sunroof operates? Thanks!

I notice the same thing with sunroof open n close functions. Also i notice the SPORT mode was on the idrive. It does feel a bit tighter feel while driving. Software had 2 glitches, brakes service kept displaying and low tire display showing wrong tire on screen.

So your sunroof also goes past the comfort position as well since the update? Did you have to get your software reinstalled to fix your glitches? Didn't have the brake or low tire display issue with mine....

I noticed the same change in my sunroof. I never had any glitches with it. I also used to be able to walk to the back of my X3 and just pull on the door and it would unlock with the keys in my pocket. Now I have to push the damn button on my FOB. There were times while I was driving the rear hatch would just "pop" open so I guess this fixed that problem. All other comfort features work as they did before.

I use the sunroof a lot and it drives me nuts that it opens all the way past comfort position so I then have to hit the button a second time to return it to the comfort position. If the full open position didn't create such a loud reverberation sound it wouldn't be an issue, but unless the windows are down, you can't use it in that position without hurting your ears. The dealer is going to call BMW HQ to see if it can be coded to revert back to opening to the comfort position.

Exact same problem after a software update in June. Dealer had to ask BMW Germany to fix the software glitch.
