sticky black residue on interior door handles
Is anyone else having the issue of the interior door handle (passenger side front door) getting sticky and leaving a black glue-like residue on your hands? This is also happening on the driver side door handle/compartment. Anyone have a fix to this or is this just something i will have to live with?

Common problem, it's been discussed many times. A search will provide many hits for an inexpensive solution. Here's one example.

It's annoying, the material is porous and gums up exactly like you said. I just live with it for now since I just noticed it but I might buy that plastic trip pungo mentioned.
What I did for now is take some magic eraser to it, keep in mind that it's basically super fine sandpaper so don't go too hard on using it on every material. |

I dont know why I didn't even think about looking on ebay for replacement parts.
BEFORE YOU BUY, THESE ARE BOTH FROM CHINA, EBAY MAY HAVE SOME VENDORS WITHIN THE U.S, BUT I HAVE NOT BEEN DRIVING MY X3 SINCE I'M WAITING ON THE LAWSUIT SETTLEMENT SO I DONT MIND WAITING. Here are the links: Front right passenger side pull handle: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Right-Inter...72.m2749.l2649 For driver side handle/compartment: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Front-Left-...72.m2749.l2649 |
