I have a 2020 European 520D G30 with KAFAS, avoidance system and standard LEDS. I've retrofitted a stalk with a HBA button.
Can the HBA be coded and if so can I get the link to e-sys.

My headunit (F30 - HU-ENTRY ) is stuck on the BMW logo, and its been suggested I may be able to fix this by re-writing the firmware. Is it possible to program just this unit, no other ECU's, with the same firmware version? I understand that in many cases the firmware on ECU's has to be a common deployment. I don't want to risk a full update on all systems which could end badly just for this issue. thanks

You can flash Head Unit only. If you want same I-Step as car, then you need PSdZData Full version that is same as Car I-Step.

Rather than do this I've purchased a 2nd hand Head unit & installed, with the hope coding this unit to the car will solve the problem. So the replacement unit powers up properly, radio/CD works. But the bluetooth or USB doesn't work. Is this as expected until you code the unit?

But after doing this the head unit restarted, but still cannot use USB or Bluetooth.

Anything I'm doing wrong? Thanks

Not quite. You left a VM, not a PM.

So, your VIN has the following FSC Codes issued to it:

AppID 129 (81) - Media Player (USB)
AppID 130 (82) - Telephone (Bluetooth)

So now these FSC Codes must be Imported into donor Head Unit.

Intended purpose:
My idrive randomly reboots (not on a continuous loop) but otherwise works fine. I wanted to update the istep on the headunit and see if that resolves the issue. If not I will need to replace the headunit with a used like for like head unit and program it.

My car details:
BMW X1 f48 2016 professional navigation (entrynav with navigation)

I am also attempting to replace my headunit with a used like for like. Will you be able to give me some guidance on how to delete the fsc codes using tool32 and how to then load my codes?

Hi Shawnsheridan. Would really appreciate some guidance coding fsc codes on a used unithead. Do I need the psdzdata lite or full version to do this? The link you sent me for the full version consists of 35 different parts and is 137GB. Do I download all 35 parts or only those that are relevant to my car?
