No changes in Canadian power plants this year either

According to my dealer, BMW Canada will not be offering the 4-cyl N20 and 6-cyl diesel on the X3 in 2012.

Even though the US is not getting them I thought perhaps Canada might. The CDN market sometimes gets certain European-flavoured things like the X1 before they show up in the US. No such luck this time.

I drove the 4-cyl N20 in a new X1 and it was good and powerful for a 4, but it didn't sound as nice as the inline 6.

Is the current inline 6 more reliable than the coming N20? The N20 appears to have more power according to the specs?

I just spoke to a BMW dealer that says he can get me one - N20. Its not the color I want but I might jump on it. Another dealer told me early 2012. If I negotiate/close the deal then I will confirm the details.

Update:
Not sure what is worse... BMW salespeople that tell me that there is not going to be N20 X3s or BMW salespeople that tell me they have a N20 X3 to sell me then tell me that they made a mistake.
