Apple Carplay Upgrade

Hey all, I just purchased a 2014 BMW X3 28i. The vehicle has the old 6.5 inch screen inside the dash board, not the one that sticks out above.

Has anyone done a carplay upgrade with this year of BMW X3 and 6.5 inch screen? how did you do it and what did you order?

I installed this a fee months ago. It's 12.3". I run android but I know you can run apple as well. I got it off avinusa.com. good customer service. I am not very good with computers. They were very patient with me. Took 2 afternoons but I am Disabled. You can do it in 2-3 hours. I have a 2013 28i x3
