Hi

I have had staining (water spots) on my high gloss trim. I have found using a good quality liquid wax - not polish with a quality micro fibre cloth has helped to remove the marks without scratching the trim. The wax has some fillers and will fill some of the fine scratches that you get in this trim.

I did ask also BMW and a few detailers about what to use but did not get a good answer..

Cheers..

I used a detailer on mine. G3 is a good product and it contains waxes, light detergent and polish. I tried it on an inconspicuous area first.
There are several on the market such as Maguires.

For your purposes, it really doesn't matter. You are just using it to remove the spots. Now if want it to also wax your ride then try chemical guys butter wax
