Ordered X3 xDrive28i with N20 today!

I pulled a trigger today on a 2013 28i for my wife. Dealer said to expect delivery in the end of April/beginning of may. Got my production number also but it takes about a day for order to appear in the system! Very excited! Actually more than my wife even though it's her car!

specs:

2013 X3 xDrive28i
Mineral Silver Metallic paint (A14)
Premium Package (Oyster Leather LUCX, Brushed Aluminum Trim 4AD) ZPP
Cold Weather Package (ZCW)
Comfort Access Keyless Entry (322)
MSRP: $44,595 (including $895 destination)

UPDATE:
Based on recommendations I got from you guys I added Convenience Package (ZCV) which adds Comfort Access Keyless Entry (322), Rear manual side window shades (417), Xenon headlights (522), Adaptive light control (524) which was only extra $800 since I had Key as a stand-alone option.

So it is:
2013 X3 xDrive28i
Mineral Silver Metallic paint (A14)
Premium Package (Oyster Leather LUCX, Brushed Aluminum Trim 4AD) ZPP
Cold Weather Package (ZCW)
Convenience Package (ZCV)
MSRP: $45,395 (including $895 destination)

Congrats! It's refreshing to see an X3 without all the options ticked. But did you consider adding the xenons? It's on the short list of "must haves" for a low option vehicle. You should be able to make changes since you just ordered.

Congrats! Were you able to get a good deal in your part of the country? I'll be shopping in the next month to six weeks. I'm hoping 7%+ off MSRP is the going rate. I haven't seen any sites list invoice prices yet.

I did get $3,145 off MSRP which is about 7.1% after some negotiation. Got it from a dealer in IL.

I was thinking about xenons, but honestly, my wife doesn't care and I felt we should just stick to the list of options she'll be using. With BMW packages it's very easy to go nuts and get bunch of stuff that is nice to have but not mission critical.

2nd Xenons, it's a must if you are doing any night time driving. Congrats, 7% off MSRP is a great deal

Congrats and welcome to the F25 club
As others have said xenons should be considered they make the vehicle stand out and much better visibility at night and during bad weather.

Congrats. There definitely seems to be a lot of future MY13's being ordered.

I have to say as well the xenons really add something to the vehicle, unless you are really just trying to keep the overall cost down.

Add me to the list of people that love the xenon's.
After having them, I'll never get a car without.
Night time visibility is very important to me.

I agree with all you, guys.

I have xenons on my car and I wouldn't want to have one without it, however I have hard time convincing my wife that it worth extra $800 (we get keyless entry, so to add convenience package will only be extra $800). We do try to keep the cost down and include only features that she'll be using.

If it would be up to me - xenons would be part of it no questions asked, but how do I convince her that it's something worth extra?

Have her test drive one with them and without them at night and she'll be sold.

Good call, and since you are in the US you get active headlights too.

Delivery Date Seems Unrealistic

We just ordered one this week as well and are being told to expect it toward the end of June. They are still producing 2012 models. I don't see how they would wind 2012's down, change the line over, start production and deliver vehicles within 4 or 5 weeks. Seeing that we ordered within days of one another I don't think that our status in the production que would explain the discrepancy between what we are being told. Do you have any other info from your dealer that might be able to explain the time difference?

About 10 years ago that’s what did it for me.
I had a 325 at that time, and got a loner with xenon’s when it was in the shop.
One nighttime drive was all it took for both of us to agree that our future cars would have xenons.
For us it’s not a luxury, but a real safety factor.

My dealer told me that production starts the first week of April. Also they mentioned that my order order should be in the first batch and I'll get the car end of April/beginning of May.
I have my production number and I will tell you more info after I'll be accepted in My BMW on the web site.
