2015 x3 upgrade headlights??
Hi everyone I'm new on bmw, my first one!
I just got it from the dealer after 2 month waiting , but the bigest mistake I did when I order it ,I didn't add the LED lighting pack. Is there any way that I can change them now?? Thanks! |

If that's your biggest regret with the X3, I'd find a way to live with it
LEDs are incredible- but at $1900 there's a major question of utility. Retrofitting will be expensive. |

Do you mean LED or HID lighting package?

+1. I'm also not sure what the OP is referring to.
Are you upgrading from the base halogen headlights to xenons (which incorporate the "angel eye" DRLs), or are to upgrading from xenons to LED headlights? Either way there's no easy fix and I expect you would have to replace the entire headlight assembly at least. As previously mentioned - very expensive. Tony |

i think he's asking upgrading to LED. All base 2015 X3 comes with Xenon standard now.

Fair enough you have xenons - but many of the previous comments are still valid. Yes you can probably do it but it is going to cost a fortune - at a minimum the whole headlight assembly needs to be replaced.
However as asked by "zzz" - why? Unless you do an awful lot of night driving on unlit country roads at speed the xenons are more than adequate. Haven't seen them on the X3 yet, but from my brief comparison I had a couple of months ago on an X5 I'm not convinced the LED headlights are that much better than xenons. There are a number of threads on the F15 X5 forum on this xenon vs LED debate. Tony |

I feel left out as the OP didn't respond to my post but made it perfectly clear he has Xenons.

People aren't all that far off when they say that it may be cheaper to tradein your new BMW and re-order than it is to add a factory option after the fact. If I'm looking at the right part numbers, the LED headlight assemblies go for about $1600 each, $3200 for the pair. If an upgrade is even possible, there may be additional parts required, plus labor, plus either a software upgrade or coding, and this is easily a $4000+ project.
