Just got a pre-owned 2015 X3 28i, and found out that the NBT_I14275A map shows version "Road Map NORTH AMERICA Next 2014-2A". Can't figure out why orig owner never updated his 2014 map installed in his brand new 2015 vehicle. However, there was this "BMW Navigation Map Certificate" with 20 alpha chars "Release Code". Not too sure if the code is still valid. Hey Shawn, are u able to send me the 2017 map? Merci!

Release Code good only for installed map, not new North America NEXT 2017-2 map. PM sent.

Curious if there is another way to update the maps besides the USB in the glove box. I don't know if something is up with my vehicle, but when I was trying to update the maps it was taking forever. It likely took a couple hours just to do the first jump drive, let alone the next 3 jump drives.

With CIC (PREMIUM Map), Update is via Glovebox USB Port or DVD. Normally it takes about 15 minutes per USB part, but same part via DVD takes 1 hour, so DVD is always painfully slow. If you are slow with USB, then USB or CIC Hard Drive has issues.
