No gifts for me, but am pretty sure I've been marked and branded as a trouble-maker, as my last service experience was not a good one. Strangely, I received no call or email inviting me to grade that experience. I would have made only constructive comment, as I still love my X3 and want to have a good relationship with the service department. <sigh>

I think I am blacklisted too after numerous emails to BMW UK, with some questioning their competence. As I didn't get an after sale survey, I tried to submit a service survey highlighting problems in the dealer's sale process. What did BMW UK do? Forwarded it to the dealer. Brilliant.

This is a fundamental problem, which shows that the dealers are obviously and unscrupulously stacking the deck for themselves. An example of why statistics of most any sort are virtually meaningless.

Is it possible to request BMW NA issue a survey directly to you?
That is very unscrupulous. If I had a problem and they withheld the survey I'd be contacting BMW NA every day to complain. They should care that their dealers are acting this way.

This is kind of goofy ... I got a package from BMW this weekend, but it didn't appear to have any USP memory stick as it was too flat. Letter inside said it was in appreciation for filling out the "lengthy questionnaire", which I don't recall filling out. In appreciation, there was a bumper sticker that says "I'd rather be riding". Usually a reference to riding a motorcycle.
Motorcycle survey? Re-read the letter with comprehension cranked up a bit, and it indeed was for a BMW motorcycle survey. Still don't recall any survey ... A) I think BMW has some issues with their third-party survey partner. B) How do they in good conscience expect me to put that bumper sticker on the X3?

Got mine in the mail today, looks the exact same as what Lotus got. A 2GB USB drive with a bunch on it. Have not looked closely, but it looks like the only executable is an Adobe Flash file.
At the very least, I now have another handy USB flash drive that, hopefully, I will not mistake for my BMW key. |

Just for the record, I got the USB memory stick today. For the Mac, you have to manually execute the program. Doesn't seem to go anywhere, though.
Good place to store music.

The app on the USB stick is obviously intended for noobs who have never created an account on the BMW website. Other than providing an introduction to that site it really has no value.
Cute little accessory though, and I'll use it to move some MP3s to the HDD in the car. Semi-related question: Long ago, I saw the webpage where you could download updates for the car and use the USB port to upload them, but damned if I can find that page again. Anyone have the link?

I think you should get at least that on a 35d. Ask them if you're the first when you pick up. Have you requested model badge deletion for wolf in sheep's clothing effect? Good luck for tomorrow. Check all paintwork thoroughly!
