Hi. I used to own a 325ci which I preferred the Thule roof rack system (base rack and snowboard + surfboard rack). I liked how the Thule snowboard rack had nice soft rubber to grip onto the snowboard and how you could pull the entire rack towards you as it slides on a rail. This was a long time ago though. Who makes the best rack system for the X3 now? BMW? Thule? Yakima? Why? Not released yet? The two racks they will be used for are for snowboards and surfboards. It's hard to see the details online for the BMW system. On the Thule website, I don't think it's even released yet as I cant enter a 2011 X3.
