when i went in last Friday i was in the middle of putting in a order for a x3. the sales guy left for a moment and then sales guy came back in the office and said that they stopped orders for 2015 and are now doing the 2016's. he said nothing will change for the 2016 year. im not sure but that's what he said and the price will go up a 100 dollars. but im super excited bout my now ordered 2016 sdrive x3 28i. should have it by the end of April according to my dealer and super super excited bout pcd. i love my X1 a lot and will miss it but im super excited about getting my x3 and think its even cooler that its built in the great state i live in. here is my build and a pic of my 13 x1 i will be putting up for adaption. you'll also be able to find my x1 on ebay.

The rear camera package i ordered was extra and wasn't standard. but its well worth it. I WANT MY X3. The end of April is to long to wait lol.

Congrats! I ordered mine two weeks ago but I'm told it will not be built until May or June. Either my dealer is very low in the totem pole or your dealer wanted to influence your decision to purchase by giving you a unrealistic delivery date...not trying to burst your bubble, just something you need to watch out for. Perhaps people with experience in ordering cars early in the year can chime in about when are cars for the next year start being built.

thanks a lot. appreciate it. but no one influenced my purchase decision. i knew i wanted one and what i wanted in it. they also didnt give me a deilevery date until after i finished putting my order in. BMW of Columbia sales are fantastic. joey is a wonderful sales guy. but either way im super excited. what features did you put into your x3?

I ordered my 2016 this past week, and also was told end of April. I also am trading in my X1, which I love, but is too small. It's like the three bears, X5-too big, X1-too small, X3-just right. I got 28i x drive, alpine white, saddle interior, premium package, cold weather package, park assist package, and xenons. I tried to put my production number in to track it, but it isn't in the system yet?

2016 model year doesn't start production until April 1.

mine isn't either. it hasn't been since i ordered mine. but if you call up bmw usa it is in the system. at least mine is. they told me its slotted for production the second week of April . i should have it by the end of April according to my dealership. also supper excited about doing the pcd on my x3. its so much fun. you'll love your x3. as will i., i just want it sooooo bad. ahhh lol.

PCD? I spent two days there at the Performance Driving School. They were the best two days that I've had in years. Check it out during your delivery, and consider going back there for the driving school. (If you do, join the BMWCCA for a discount on the school price. Also good for Parts and Labor discounts at some BMW dealers, and a price rebate on some BMW car purchases.)

Mine is an M-Sport with pretty much ever option available,and since I can't get the deep sea blue color that I've liked since BMW came up with it, I selected carbon black metallic which appears to be somewhat of a deep sea blue under direct sunlight.

My dealer told me that other than the enhanced bluetooth feature being standard in 2016, and some options and the base price being higher/lower by few hundreds of dollars, the 2016 and 2015 models are practically the same.

If someone else know of any other differences, please chime in. I'm also interested to hear the opinion of people from the forum who most of the time are much more knowledgeable than car salesmen.

ok so apparently my x3 started production yesterday and im super excited about that. the completion day should be this Tuesday. so its actually starting sooner than planned which is AWESOME. so hopefully that's means ill be able to get it sooner then originally planned.
