It's your car do whatever. But if they won't take care of your issues then you should take your business elsewhere. I used to bring the X3 to the nearest dealer cause it was convenient. I now drive 20 miles out of my way cause they suck.

My dad took apart our 1 series which had it's lifters replaced and he noticed a lot of nuts and bolts were missing. They couldn't even fix a squealing window on the X3. Our SA got promoted to head SA or whatever bullshit title they want to call themselves. Further proof they have no idea about customer service.

Which dealership is this? And which dealership do you use now?

i think we all have stories to tell about bmw service dept and customer service.
i just had an incident while my car was at service shop for noise in the engine and tire replacement. They had my x3 for few days investigating the noise. They came to the conclusion it was high pressure fuel pump lol. I picked up my x3 yesterday afternoon and drove it down the block to bmw collision in freeport. I had to get the rear grey trim of the rear bumper replace due to minor hit. As the new piece was gettin installed, the guy pointed it out to me that rear bumper was damaged.:ma d0259:
the rear bumper was fine because i checked it several times after incident so i drove back to service dept. I had them pull up the pictures that were taken day of the appt. My SA said no worries we will fix the problem and put u into loaner while its being repair.

i couldve made a scene but i kept calm. i have two dents rear bumper.

So they accidentally damaged your rear bumper while it was in service? U got a good SA. I'm still waiting for the SA to "try" to get me loaner.

yes, its important that when you bring your car for service that is clean because they take pics. it was clear that the car was hit while it was there for service. Bmw is taking care of the repair plus a loaner so i cant complain

Sucks man! I guess no matter how good a SA is, he doesn't have a complete control because ultimately, it's the tech that works on your car. Nothing beats factory paint.

When you drop off a car they usually do a walk around to note any damage. They make you sign off on that damage. If anything new pops up under their care they should be responsible.

Yeah, I notice the guy came out and snapped a few pix of my car the 1st time I brought it in. That's actually the 1st time I see it.

Hey guys don't be mindful about not sharing the Dealer Info, it will avoid anyone reading this thread and future (search results) time by seeing to avoid a certain dealer.

For example, I have a good first experience from BMW of Bridgewater they took me in a day before to schedule a Oil Change and asked me if I needed a loaner.

Few weeks later while inspecting my engine took my car once to BMW of Manhtn to replace a sensor clip I saw it looked broken and Advisor said foreman didn't find any issues with it, but they cleaned my engine bay from rodent poop lol. Anyhow, they gave the car a wash (but I had washed it prior) so not sure if they really did or left the little note card to gass me up.

Next time I'm going to BMW of Morristown or Bridgewater (closer to my 1 of my jobs office) , I heard great things from JMK BMW, BMW Tenafly and Prestige... BMW of Park Ave heard it was awful by a coworker.

Thanks

I heard good things about JMK and Prestige. Prestige is a little far from me. I'm thinking of trying JMK next time because they're not far from NYC.

Based on my experience, most dealerships in the 5 boroughs suck. I'm not talking BMW but car dealerships as a whole. I guess it's because they have a different mentality and has a higher volume customers.

My neighbor is a long time BMW owner, and he said he will never bring his car to Life Quality again because he found out they lied to him once. He brings his car to Park Ave. Every dealers have mixed reviews, but I haven't heard anybody saying any good thing about Life Quality Service Department.

Quick questions! Is it true each SA has their own tech?

I only took my car to BMW of Manhtn due to the fact I met someone in my street who took his bmw first there and knew an Advisor so I chose him when I went in for service. I am just having a hard time believing they didn't find an issue and like you said they have such a high volume they prob didn't want to deal with the PITA replacing the sensor cable or whatever. Plus I had to get to work and it was the easiest one on the way.

My coworker only takes his car to Park Ave because is 2 blocks down from him lol but he says their cus ser is not good

The survey department from dealership just called me and asked if I'm satisfied with their customer service. Guess what I said! So after I expressed my frustration with them, they're getting me a loaner on Monday (originally promised sometimes this week), and that the part has not arrived yet. I was told the part was ordered last Friday, and it would arrive this Tuesday.

At this point, do you think I can bring my car to a different dealership?

BMW life quality does suck big time! Their sales and service both suck! I bring my car all the way up to bmw of mamaroneck which is also where I bought my car from.

I only live like 3-4 miles from life quality too. It's a shame that I have to drive ~30miles out of my way to get treated with decent service.

Vin you can contact BMW NA, they will put you in contact with next dealership/service dept near you or whats more convenient for you. Just ask for a loaner.

Just bring it to a good dealership, and you'll be fine. Just make sure you you have them check everything before they release the car and also check before to leave to make sure all the features function properly.

Life Quality BMW is a joke! I shouldn't have brought my car back to them. They're telling me lies after lies, and now, I'm left hanging w/out knowing the status of my car.

I dropped off my car there on Monday morning. After 3 days, I didn't hear anything from them so I sent the SA an email. He replied saying that the part has been installed, and the car should be ready to be picked up tomorrow. He told me he'll be on a vacation after 12PM, and another SA will assist me picking it up.

Today, I called them and asked to speak to the other SA, the girl at the front desk kept telling me that they'll call me back, but they never did. I called back a couple times before the end of the business day. Nobody knew the the fuck was going on with my car. After expressing my frustration, the girl at the front desk went to find out and told me that the part has been ordered and hasn't arrived yet. After hearing this, I almost flipped out. This contradicts with what the SA told me. The SA told me yesterday the part had been installed. After I told her what the SA told me, the girl called me back later and changed her story saying that the part that was replaced was defective, and they had to order another part and they'll call me tomorrow. WTF? The part was defective twice? That's bullshit. These guys have to be lying to me. I got off the phone and called BMW NA. This is just unbelievable. I heard bad things about them, but this is beyond bad.
