I’ve just received an email from my dealer informing my car should be with them by the end of next week Ordered the car first week in November – Spec:
3.0D xLine
Space grey
Visibility package
+ all the standard stuff
Decided to spend the money on the engine not the extras!

Car due 27th April (updated 19th of April )

Enjoy your new motor! The 6 pot engine is the best option. Its great at cruising but if you want a blast a quick flick into sport and your ready to go. I am loving coming back to AWD after a 300bhp FWD car. Just floor it and its like a rocket ship off the lights. Those fat 275 rear tyres help put the power down. I really want to find some ned in a Civic Type R or Golf GTI to surprise lol.

Went for the two litre on my 3 series and regretted it, I've had to wait two years to put it right!

Received the quote on 5th November and ordered on 6th so if I collect next Thursday in will be 21 weeks, it felt longer!!!!

Not sure, I spoke to them on 3rd Feb and was told it would be May, so it wasn't at build then! I surprised when I got the email it was due them by the end of the week.

I've got the pro NAV on present car it's great for when I'm on my way home from watching the Reds when most the roads are lit up red on the NAV so you pick the best way home! I'll definitely miss that but its only about 20 times a year could be more next year if we get in Europe!!!!!

Mines been about 32 weeks from order to build... Should have been about 8 less if it had been built as originally planned

When I was in the dealer this week they confirmed that 30d models are coming through much quicker than 20d models

The guy I spoke to said that he had 20d customers still waiting from sept/October with no build date yet but that a 30d ordered in January arrives this week much to their surprise

I changed from 2.0D to 3.0D in December and hoped in wouldn't delay looks like it's had the opposite effect!

Ordered at beginning of August 2014 or was it 2013 mmmm

Originally due for build end of jan 2015 ... All going great then it didn't get built ! No real explanation

And it dropped back to build this week

The all time MPG on my 2.0D is 38.8 MPG I'll be happy if I get 35 on the X3.

38.8mpg on a 3 series? Crikey - I had 54mpg out of my last X3 on a 200+ mile run from Leeds to Slough. I did the same journey on my LCI X3 and got about 45mpg but the car was brand new and the traffic was stop/go. Between X3's I've had a loaner 320d and an A4 2.0d both of which did about 60mpg.

I don't drive slowly either, but I do give plenty of space between me and the car in front which means I rarely have to brake and accelerate again. (Oh, and I'm also a stickler for keeping left when not overtaking, too)

I have had 52 MPG on a 107 mile trip at an average 63 MPH.
