dimensions and specs of the factory wheels?

Anyone know where I could locate the specs of the factory wheels (width, offset, center bore, bolt pattern)? I have the 18" M sport wheels
Thanks!

Width and offset vary with the model:

M Double Spoke Type 369 Staggered
8.5X19 ET=38mm
9.5X19 ET = 48 mm

Star Spoke Type 368
8X18 ET = 43mm

Double Spoke Type 309
8.5X19 ET= 38mm

“Y” Spoke Type 308
8X18 ET=43mm

“V”spoke Type 307
8X18 ET=43mm
Thank you for the info! As long as the centerbore is atleast 72.5mm the wheel would work correct? (with the use of hubcentric rings)
Do you know where to locate the width and offset for the 28i 18" M sport wheels?

I'm looking at a 20" set of wheels that should mount up OK, however, they are offered in 8.5" and 9.5" widths w/ +35mm offset, so I'm trying to decide what option to go for (one width all around or staggered). I wouldn't mind the wheels moving further outward then the 28i M sport has from the factory, but I don't want to much offset where rubbing would be an issue

Thanks, I'm looking at a set from **********s, and they said the factory lugs will work. They didn't mention hubcentric rings, but I'm going to make sure on that when I order. I'll probably go with the 8.5" width all around, because I believe the 18" M sport wheels I have are either 8 or 8.5 wide w/ a +35 offset

You do need hub centering rings if the wheel bore is more than 72.5. Some dealers like TireRack will supply them automatically, while some will leave it up to you to find. Also, wheel mounting area thicknesses vary. The bolt length is critical. You must have at least 9.5 turns of lug bolt engagement. If the hub is thicker than stock, the OEM 23 to 25 mm bolts will be too short. Reputable dealers will know this, but not all dealers selling wheels are reputable.

Bolts are available in 25, 30, 35 and 40 mm lengths. The stock wheels (and most, but not all aftermarket wheels) use conical taper lug bolts. Some aftermarket wheels use spherical taper bolts. It's very important to have the bolts match the wheels, both in length and seat taper.

Gotcha thanks

Tirerack shows some 20" wheels for the F25 w/ 8.5" widths and +35 offset, so that's what I'm going to go with (tire size 245/40-20)

My winter wheels are 8.5"*18" with ET35 all round fit perfect.

XenaBimmer, I think the staggered setup should work without any rubbing for the M6 replica. for the official 20" BMW M Double spoke 310 wheels, the setup is 8.5 for the front with +38 offset and 10 for the rear with +51 as I found this information for Realoem.com .
I am also looking at after market wheels for my 35i M sport and very interested in the M6 replica from **********. However, it is almost winter in Canada now and there is no reason for me to get it this year.
I agree with you to use higher profile tires which will be my choice as well.~ lol
If you will place an order and have the M6 replica mounted on your M sport X3, please share some photos and I believe it will look awesome.
Thanks.

Thanks for that info. If the 310 wheels have 10" rears w/ +51 offset, how far out would the 9.5" +35 offset sit compared?

0.5" difference in width = -12.7mm
Offset difference = +16mm

If I'm not mistaken, the 9.5" wheel would sit 3.3mm further out than the 310.
