Either way I'd still get the car in April .. Be it the beginning or end of the month .. I'm away for the Easter holidays so it would suit mid/ late April

It would kill me to know the car was sitting there waiting but I was away !

I'm kind of past the excitement of a new car stage .. Through the frustration stage and now almost resigned to whatever !

Well seems my car wasn't built in week 10 as thought, hopefully this coming week as still showing as expected at dealer week 17

I hope I still like it when it turns up!

To be honest I can barely remember, I should have ordered the macan as the used prices of those are mental and at least I'd be half way through the 18 month wait now.

It should be a 3.0d m sport, in space grey with oyster leather, LED lights, pro nav, HUD, and a few other bits...

Same happened to me a few weeks ago .. No explanation .. All ok all ok all ok .. Then oops it didn't get built !!!

Wtf !

To be fair on the dealer (this is the second one) it was originally a week 12 build, then came forward to 10 but now seems to have missed week 10.

My better halves parents ordered their new car last Saturday, picked it up today (stock order), my boss ordered a new jag xf 3 weeks ago and gets it in 2 weeks, I think everyone thinks I'm some kind of Walter Mitty character that's made it up now it's taken so long!

I think realistic lead times at the moment are about 9/10 months

I think someone else posted that cars ordered early December were looking at wk 38 which would be end of Sept

Car in build. Looks like 2nd week of April. Hooray, seems a long time since last November.

Going to add interior carbon trim. Not keen on the stock choices.

I will write to you when arriving in the country.

That should mean it goes directly to Bremerhaven in Germany and not to UK first... Than from Bremerhaven a 1200 km roadtrip via Hannover , Dresden, Prague, Bratislava and finally...Budapest !

If the informations is correct your car it's on Faust car carrier. Mine is a X3 Mellbourne red. If you have teh VIN you could find the car on Wallenius Wilhelmsen site, 2wglobal. I found mine there, along with another 1804 bimmers. The vessel will be in Bremerhaven in 15.03.2015. 'm looking how long it will take to transport and prepare the car for delivery in Prague.

I don't know the VIN code, but I just asked my dealer. I can see Bremerhaven listed on the website , but from what port in USA will the cars be shipped ? Charleston SC ?

I don't think my car will be on that vessel, for my car would have been built only last week. The next possible vessel is leaving this friday 13.03.2015 and arriving in Bremerhaven on 23.03.2015 (Vessel named Toscana). I didn't think the trip would take so long (10 days). No VIN means no trace. You must have the VIN first and tracking is possible only on Walenius. On K line and other companies you cannot trace, but BMW uses mainly Walenius.
The only export port form US is Charleston. The trip acoss the Atlantic take between 10 and 26 days, depending on vessel type and itinerary. When you have the VIN check the car on bmwvin. com or bmwarchive, I ordered a red one and was made on January 8 black metallic, so be sure that what you ordered is what you get. So the dealer ordered a new one, and this one was produced RED, on exact specifications.

Hit Track and trace on front page and put ALL VIN in Cargo ID (right), after that click Trace. If the car is on a ship of Wallenius it shop up. Yours don't yet, I check it for you. Wait for the next scheduled vessel and you will find when is received at terminal, loaded, unloaded at Bremerhaven and so on.
