I don't think the info has been turned in and processed as of yet. You can check you VIN # here: https://vinrcl.safercar.gov/vin/ to see if there is a recall.

The only reference I can find to any BMW model is 2002-2003 3-Series as per linked article (note the list in the article refers specifically to those cars available in the Australian market).

There's this list as well, from Autoblog:
http://www.autoblog.com/2014/12/09/t...g-recall-list/ I'm still waiting to hear if my wife's 328 fuel pump has been recalled...they said something about April 30 for notification, but nothing yet. Maybe her car isn't on the list.

I think that BMW itself is waiting hear back from Takada on how much they are impacted by the recall. Since the recall was actually issued by the airbag manufacturer and not the vehicle manufacturer it will probably take longer for us to find out. Takada will need to isolate what batch of airbag models were responsible for the shrapnel (at this point they don't even know the root cause) and then trace where all the lots shipped. Couple that with the sheer scope of the impending recall--I recall that there are about 33.8 million serial numbers involved--I would say it will be a few months at least. Until then we'll need to continue revisiting the safercar.gov site to check in as their list grows. In this morning's news I saw that BMW was one of the manufacturers that Takada supplied to.

You can also check your VIN at BMW's site over the next few weeks as they sort it out.
