You have lost me a bit there Shawn. I get the I-Step from the VCM window in Esys when connected to car? Where do I get the ISTA/P info from?

Oh OK. Is it worth making those changes you suggested in post 1847 or is there no point with 50.3?

Is there an option to update the firmware, however this may well be beyond my confidence levels.

You can try, but I am not sure those FDL Codes even exist in your older firmware.

You can Flash NBT with new firmware with E-Sys.

during switching on BMW LIVE from MENU i have message: "Activate data services for Bluetooth device or contact Service"

btw during phone(SONY M4) pairing i do not have any option for bluetooth data transfer, only PHONE and AUDIO!

any idea how to solve it

Checked this morning and all are there and all are Aktiv. I have repaired phone again but no difference. At the moment, the only way to properly navigate is using the phone itself.

Office appears to be working as all text messages are being downloaded to the car. Not sure about emails yet.

They are likely present only because E-Sys Launcher is Mapping them based on newer CAFD, when in reality, you do not actually have them in your older CAFD, which likely only has "unbelegt", which are unused or placeholders for future FDL's.

So basically, no go without firmware update? From my understanding this is significantly more involved than just the ebt upgrade?

Yes, you need 50.4 and yes, Flashing NBT is far more complicated than coding EBT. Your best bet is to somehow get dealer to program your car.

OK, thanks for your assistance, without which i would not have ebt at all. The main reason for the upgrade was the office functionality which appears to be operating perfectly so I am happy.

after my success with F25 i tried to code BMW LIVE for my friend & F11(production date 11-2010), but after adding 6AL no BMW LIVE visible at menu. even i could not find ONLINE_BROWSER_LIVE function under HU_CIC.

Should I add/remove some FA(like 6NK)? BTW below his FA content:

Hi everyone,

I tried to code my friend's F25 and found a strange problem. The goal was to disable Auto-Start-Stop function, preferably by TC_MSA_MEMORY option. This was not my first coding, I did some changes successfully in a number of F10s and F11s and everything worked as it should. Here, after successful coding of TC_MSA_MEMORY (aktiv), the function doesn't work - car always starts with Start-Stop ON (the button next to ignition is off).

OK, I didn't give up and tried other option - TC_MSA_DEFAULT_OFF, which in my knowledge should make the car always start with MSA off. But again, each time the car starts with Start-Stop ON. There are two other options in CAS (TC_MSA_SGR and TC_MSA_KSOPT), but both of them are set to default and exactly the same as in my F10.

Is there any other place to check for MSA_MEMORY settings? Or maybe the car's i-level is too old (F025-11-03-511)?

Other coding options, even in CAS (TC_LOGIC_KLR_OFF_DOOR), work perfectly.

I would be grateful for some help.

In many cases, you need only Inject CAFD into ECU and VO Code it. In some cases, you must Flash / Encode ECU.
