Well after taking a bit to decide I picked up my very first BMW last week. Ive traditionally had mostly Fords/Lincolns, and currently have a 04 WRX that is my fun/weekend warrior car. But I wanted an SUV to take over from my old Focus as my daily driver. The vehicle I settled on was a 2011 X3 Xdrive35i M package and I couldn't be any happier. Currently it has a winter tire package on it, but the M369 wheels are sitting in the garage waiting till the snow is gone. I have modified most of the cars I own but not too sure where to start with this thing, especially since I opted for the powertrain warranty for the next 100k. But big plans for now are to take it to a friend who does detailing and to get a paint decontamination, correction, coating all done along with getting the front clear filmed. So for now, here are some pics when I first picked it up.

Some coding is definitely on the list. I just have to do a lot more reading since I have never done anything like that and there appears to be a lot to read and learn before I go messing with it.

Figured Id post an update although I havent done a whole lot to it yet. Shortly after i picked it up I took it to a friend to get it detailed and ceramic coated, along with getting a bunch of it clear filmed. Really happy with how it turned out and you can see how dramatic it was when he decontaminated the wheels. The stuff he used sprays on green to give you a bit of an idea. But still loving this thing and have the black M sport grilles on their way, and did the M sport puddle lights as well. Also put the summer tires on after cleaning them really good and coating them with some Chemical Guys Max Coat wheel guard.

I think when the black grilles eventually show up I may redo the fog lights and do the yellow film on them. Cant wait to get a few more things done to it.

Well apparently some of my other pics have been broken since photobucket changed things. But i did take a new pic now that the Black Grilles showed up. I also put some film on the fog lights that i think goes really well with the new Grilles.

I'm undecided about the yellow fogs, personally i wouldn't do it i think but if you like it then thats all that matters

For now i like how the fogs turned out. But we shall see. I kind of want to see if there is an LED upgrade for them in which case i may try and do that.

Do you have a link to the fogs? And I did, I actually upgraded my front turn signals to the Morimoto Xb Led bulbs, and did the back up lights too. Im having a hard time not ordering some new higher performance HID bulbs too, but keep telling myself to wait until one burns out.
