Oil leak

Can anyone tell me where this oil leak is possibly coming from? The front diff area is covered in oil. 2013 X3 with N55 3.0L

I agree with mingstar, but do your own investigation to confirm. Look further up and see if the seam between the oil pan and engine block is soaked with oil.

10/10 ugly job to do and if you attempt it, the total labor charges make total sense. I’m

If you haven’t done gaskets I agree with the above that the oil pan is most likely but would also change out the oil filter housing gasket (OFHG) and valve cover gasket as they age harden with repeated heat cycling. The 3 gaskets are most common leak areas.
