Canadian owners RTTI (real time traffic in navi)

OK, this ticks me right off!! I thought I wasn't setting the right feature on attempting to get traffic alerts.. After reading searching to no avail..I called the dealer. RTTI is not available in Canada thru BMW!

What a farce! Once again we get shafted!! I was told some lame excuse from BMW that there is no CRTC approval...b.s. I got RTTI on my cheap garmin bought at Costco... It gave traffic alerts etc and was great and a fraction of the cost compared to what BMW jams out of people for their navigation!

I travel to the GTA a lot and would of loved this feature during those crazy traffic jams! End rant

Anyone know of a work around or when BMW will offer RTTI in Canada? Somebody please tell me they get RTTI!

Are you telling me bmw treats Canadian customers like second class customers? Say it aint so... You can't expect lexus service from bmw...

No kidding! It just irks me... Seems to be such a straight forward feature that would complete the navigating experience...and we pay more for our products here (in north America anyways

I use the app Waze on my iphone for RTTI. Keep it on the display screen.

Does it display on the idrive screen or just the iphone? If on the navi screen , how do u do it?
