N55 Turbo exhaust outlet size

Hi all, I am curious if anyone knows what the diameter is for the outlet of the turbo for a 2017 EWG turbo? I think i saw that the PWG models were a 3.5 inch, but apparently it increased in size in later year models. I suspect maybe 4"?

yeah its 4" on the ewg. you sure you have ewg?

what motor, where are you located?

fyi, if you're in North America and have a 2017 x3 x35i you have a 3.5" pwg downpipe and it's 3.5".

Yes i can confirm that the EWG is for any after 2014 X3. I spoke with VRSF and they do not have a direct fit downpipe. I have local shop who can get the x4 downpipe, so i'm thinking chopping the end off and getting it fabricated to work with the existing exhaust. But need to confirm that sizing before i start ripping and cutting pipes.

I believe super sprint makes a downpipe for EWG cars… too bad it's $$$

guys, go to realoem.. look at the part numbers for the downpipe by year for an x35i.

I you have an m40i with the n55 it's ewg in North America.

I'm giving up on this now though.

Just an update to this thread. I'm gonna back track on my previous statements. From what i thought i could see visually from above in the engine bay and some vague information from the "internet' i thought there was a EWG. I finally put a camera down next to the turbo and it matches what the PWG looks like and doesn't actually match what the EWG turbo looks like. I'm going to guess that the downpipe i have is correct. I wish i had a proper set of calipers now so i could just measure this darn thing. But i think its probably 3.5".
