I recently replaced my display screen on my 2013 (CIC) F25 with a used screen from ebay. The screen works except: There is no BMW splash screen (it stays dark until you shift into reverse and then backup camera activates). If you start in drive it stays dark until tail end of legal disclaimer. When I shut off the vehicle, it looks like the screen flashes slightly every two seconds for about a minute.

I have tried disconnecting the battery and rebooting by holding the radio power button for thirty seconds. No help. I realize it could be a bad screen from ebay but hoping not.
