X3 Diesel Check Engine Light ORANGE

Check control is useless as it said All Systems OK. Anyway, after 30 minutes of driving, I noticed orange CEL and the 360 degree driver protection system in the middle of the dash (where the old central locking used to be) was an ORANGE CIRCLE! It was not its usual green condition. So, I depressed it and the orange circle turned green and then the CEL was extinguished. wtf. Help, please.
