Cold Weather Issues

When I'm out of town and park outside, when it gets into the 20s (F) my X3 no longer responds to the remote. It's not the battery, I changed it twice. I have to open it up with the key and then to start it place the key fob on the steering column. It doesn't have any of my presets and the NAV screen is different! It behaves like there is a relay that is first activated by the key fob that has some moisture in it that is freezing and preventing it from working. Once I've warmed up some the key fob works but I don't have all the presets (radio) and still have the different NAV screen. I'll have BMW check it out next week it it's cold enough. I'll leave it with them the night before so they can see the error. Any others with similar symptoms?

It sounds like your car is going into battery reserve mode.
