Would 235/55-R-17 fit my 2011 X3 28i
My X3 currently has 245/55-R-17 .
Someone in I know is getting rid of his winter wheels( non bmw) wheels and tires. Size 235/55-R-17 . Can I install on a 2011 X3 28i. |

I think they would fit just fine. I had 235-65-17 like-new winter Michelins left from my Jeep. With 4 aftermarket rims I installed them to my X3 (originals 225/60/17), even that size fit just OK. I drove the truck for 2 months like that and will continue to use next 2 winters too .

I have 235-55-17 for my winter wheels and they are fine. Very slight difference in diameter (about -2%) but if you fit to all wheels it won't be a problem.

I agree - there should be no problem in fitting this smaller tire OD. However just be aware that this ~2% smaller OD will make your speedo read ~2% high. This shoud not be a major issue.

Yes, they will fit. I have studded winter tyres in that size.
