We purchased a 2014 X3 a few months back and it came with RTTI.

This feature was not working so we took it in for service. After a couple trips to the dealer, they found out that the subscription to the RTTI has expired.

Our CA sayed the following regarding this;

"Real time traffic information is only for 3 years, your vehicle was originally in service on 05/03/2013, and RTTI expired on 05/03/2016."

"It is possible to purchase an extended RTTI, The contact said there is a technical issue currently, and the purchase option won't be available before mid September."

Has anyone extended the RTTI and what's the cost/year?

If you go to the connected drive store you can book the service if you want to.

You need to make a username and pasword and register for the connected drive services and then you can book the services that you want. The cost will be billed to your credit card.

I only see Concierge Services and Internet as an option.

It should be in there as well, thats where i can dee the booked and optional services.

You're having the same problem as my wife's X3. All we have is Concierge Services and Internet.

I can't purchase ARTTI and ConnectedDrive Services (BMW Online, Online Search, Weather, etc) either.

I saw a dealership bulletin on this issue this morning.

Subject: {MY2014 vehicles} Cannot renew 6AK (BMW Online & Apps) or 6AM (ARTTI)
From: BMW ConnectedDrive Services

Dear Centers,

Some customers, specifically those with MY2014 vehicles (produced in 2013), have recently or will soon reach the 3-year expiration for certain BMW ConnectedDrive subscriptions. These include “BMW Online and Apps” and “Advanced Real-Time Traffic Information”.

We are currently experiencing a technical issue that is not allowing customers to renew these individual services, either via the My BMW ConnectedDrive portal (www.bmwusa.com/MyBMWConnectedDrive) or by using the ESA application on DCSnet. We are working to remedying the situation, but do not expect an immediate solution.

We apologize for the inconvenience this issue has caused and will provide more information once we have a resolution.

Yep. Annoys the shit outta my wife because ARTTI is pretty damn great to have. I have it on my M5 and she gets jealous that it routes me around traffic all the time.

I didn't follow the rtti directions recently on the M25 , and decided I knew better than "the machine" ..... 3 hours later
Now I always follow the route
