Software Update

Newbie here and first time BMW owner! First post so hope you can help!

Just trying to sort out if I have the latest software installed. The following is a pic. of my iDrive screen:

When I put my VIN in the update site it gives an update file which as far as I can make out contains lower versions beginning MN-002 where mine is at MN-003.

Am I correct and have I got the latest installed/

The short and only answer is YES.

I carried out a similar exercise with the BMW Tech at my local garage.

Pity the website doesn't give a straight answer!

The website only shows the latest version approved by BMW for owner-install, they are usually several versions behind the ISTA/P (dealer-install) versions.

There are newer versions that are built into ISTA/P and installed when the rest of the vehicle firmware is updated. That's probably the case with your vehicle, it was updated by a dealership with ISTA/P and the newer version in ISTA/P was installed than what's approved for owner-installation via the website.
