carplay question

Hi people,

New to this (sub)forum, i have a question regarding carplay.

Bought a 2015 f25N55X3 last week and would like to add carpay. I know that there are different hardware versions, later cars came equipped, ours probably not.

Does anybody know how to ascertain what do i need to buy, using my VIN number?

Also, is there some sort of outfit in Los Angeles that does this type of retrofits?

Factory Carplay didn't become available until the 2017 model. If you are looking to add Carplay and AA there are retrofits out there that will allow you to do that. They are called MMI. There's lots of info out there and if you are comfortable a DIY job.

Well, you could consult a specialist, but another way is to enter your car details into your amazon account and it will filter results by what's compatible with your car.
